Stoorum: a Scots language word for Smurf.
A proposed new Scots language word for ‘Smurf’, created in association with the Scottish Language Dictionaries at Edinburgh University.
The word for ‘Smurf’ is different in every language, and many newly formed countries or states fighting for independence make their cultural mark by having their own word for ‘Smurf’.
